The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Management has dispelled rumors circulating on social media regarding the suspension of its biometrics and clearance processes.
In a statement, the NYSC urged Corps members and the public to ignore the false reports and to rely solely on official NYSC sources for accurate information, including its official social media accounts and traditional media outlets.
The statement, issued by Emeka-Rems Mgbemena, Director of Media, also warned those responsible for spreading the misinformation to cease their actions, noting that such behavior is criminal and could lead to prosecution.
The NYSC Management assured Corps members and stakeholders that it will continue to provide timely and accurate updates through its official channels.
“The NYSC Management has noted the circulation of false information about the suspension of biometrics and clearance processes by certain anonymous and deceitful individuals. This release is entirely false and should be disregarded by Corps members,” the statement read.
“The public, especially Corps members, is advised to obtain information only from NYSC’s official sources, including its social media handles and traditional media.
“Those responsible for spreading these falsehoods are advised to stop immediately, as their actions are considered criminal and subject to legal consequences.
“Corps members are urged to adhere strictly to this statement,” the statement concluded.
